Attract, Care, Transform & Serve

Ministry Status
Continues to provide a wide range of service and giving opportunities in order to encourage every TLLC member to participate in the Social Service Ministry of TLLC in some meaningful way (Attract, Transform, Serve).

Committee Activities/ACTS
List DotSalvation Army Dinner - Served dinner to homeless on Sunday, May 27. (Transform, Serve)
List DotHill Country Community Ministries - Benefit violin and piano concert held in sanctuary on
Saturday, May 31. Most attendees were from the community. Large amount of food donated for HCCM food bank. (Attract, Serve)
List Dot Trinity Center - TLLC team served dinner to homeless and urban poor on Sunday, June 3. (Serve, Transform)
List Dot Social Service Committee - Committee met on Tuesday, June 3. The committee approved a request by Maureen Nichols that TLLC donate $100.00 from the Social Service Committee Discretionary budget to become a sponsor for the Neighborhood Housing Services of Austin Raise the Roof gospel concert fundraiser to be held on June 28. Ed Scharlau and Dick Moeller presented the work members of the church have been undertaking in support of the Glimmer of Hope Fresh Water Well Project. They requested and the committee agreed to include the effort as a project under the auspices of the TLLC Social Service Ministry. No meeting In July due to member vacation plans. List Dot Fair Trade Coffee - Fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit, and nuts sold between services on Sunday, June 8. (Serve)
List Dot Fresh Water Wells Project - Potluck lunch and presentation by Dick Moeller on Sunday, June 8 after services (Attract, Transform, Serve)
List Dot Lutheran World Relief Quilt Project - TLLC quilting group continues to assemble quilts for LWR on Tuesday mornings at 9 am. In the Upper Room. The group would like to have more participants. (Attract, Care, Serve)

Upcoming Events and Ministry Plans

List DotMonday, June 16-Friday, June 20 - VBS food drive for HCCM.
List DotSunday, June 22 - Salvation Army Dinner.
List DotSaturday, June 28 - Gospel music concert fundraiser for Neighborhood Housing Services of Austin. (not at TLLC and not a TLLC event, but supported by TLLC)
List DotSaturday, July 19 - Quarterly blood drive in Fellowship Hall.
List DotThursday, July 31 - Sunday, August 3 - Agua Viva Mission Trip to provide VBS, deliver school bags, tile Sunday School trailer floor, make a "getting acquainted" video and worship together.
