What is the Council? The job of the Council is to represent the congregation of Triumphant Love Lutheran Church. As the representative of the congregation, the Council shall determine and require appropriate organizational performance throughout Triumphant Love Lutheran Church. Bios-Officers President: Julie Pagliai Julie is married to Daniel Fontenot and they have three children. Julie serves TLLC by singing with the worship team, playing extra percussion, and taking turns as assisting minister and lay reader. She subs as a Sunday School teacher on occasion. When not at church, Julie has her own company, Success Paths, where she provides corporate coaching and training, assisting individuals and teams in breaking through barriers and taking their performance to the next level. She has a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University. Julie enjoys working out, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family. BIOS-Council Members At Large Karen Aroian Karen Aroian and her husband, Mihran, moved to Austin in 1986 and briefly to Great Hills Trail in the early '90s. They soon enrolled daughters, Hasmig and Ani, in the CDC and have been friends and members ever since. Over the years Karen has directed Cherub Choir, played flute for worship, and assisted with festivals, musical camps, and mission trips. She led a confirmation class and chaperoned the youth to Sky Ranch, Colorado. Karen participates in COPE and serves on the Prayer Chain, the Altar Guild at 11 am, the Lenten Devotional team, and the Social Service Ministry Committee as delegate to Austin Area Interreligious Ministries. Karen has her B.A. in English from Connecticut College and is an editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers. She relishes time with family, both here and in Massachusetts, her 5:20am walking buddies, and her beloved TLLC friends.
Rob and his wife, Karrie Brueck, were married in July 2000. They have two children, Abby age 8 and Robby age 6 and have been members of TLLC since moving back to Austin from northern California in 2004. Rob has served TLLC by assisting with the Love Gives To Grow Building program and the Stewardship Committee and likes to greet before the 9:30 worship service with the kids. Rob owns an Environmental Planning Consulting practice based in of northern California and travels there often to work with public and private development clients. Rob was born and raised in Austin, but left in 1984 to attend Arizona State University where he earned a B.S. in Design. Rob enjoys travel, most sports including volleyball, boating with the family, and an occasional glass of wine!
Dan is married to Amanda Koellhofer, and they have twin boys, Henrik and Caleb. Dan and Amanda have been members of Triumphant Love since 2002 and have been actively involved in youth programs over this time. Dan works for a software company traveling the world to exotic destinations such as Hartford, San Jose, Lansing, and Kansas City. While not working, Dan is usually involved in exposing the boys to the finer things in life like Texas BBQ, riding his bike through the hills of Austin, and weekly date nights with his wife.
Jan Richards and her husband, Gene, have been members of TLLC since 1985 after moving to Austin from Houston. They have two daughters, Kristen and Laura, who were both confirmed and married at TLLC. Kristen and Joseph Bauerkemper have one daughter, Eliza, born in March 2010. Laura and Ryan Baker have two sons, Jackson 4 ½ and Will 2 years old, both baptized at TLLC. Gene and Jan feel fortunate that Jackson and Will live in Austin. They enjoy visiting Eliza in Los Angeles and visiting on video chats with the help of modern technology. Jan’s parents, Ted and Velma Ziehe, were members of the first new member class in 1978 and continue to be active at TLLC. For the past 8 years, Jan has been the principal at Laurel Mountain Elementary in the Round Rock ISD. Prior to that she taught 1st grade for 10 years and was the assistant principal for 2 years, all at Laurel Mountain. She has been instrumental in the implementation of a learning model that focuses on developing students’ talents and interests. She has a BA from Baylor University in Speech Pathology and a Masters of Educational Administration from Texas State. She enjoys creating engaging learning opportunities for all children, playing with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. |
